During the four years of studies, the residents carry out their clinical work within the IMSP of the Institute of Emergency Medicine: the departments of Neurology, Neurology, Cerebrovascular Diseases, Stroke, Epileptology, as well as in the National Epileptology Center. In these departments, residents have the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge and gain clinical experience important for their chosen profession, examining patients with various neurological pathologies.
At the same time, the residents acquire a series of practical skills from the examination of the neurological status, to a series of investigations that must be known by neurologists, such as: Doppler/Duplex USG of the intra/extracerebral vessels, electroencephalography, electroneurography, evoked potentials, transcranial magnetic stimulation, brain imaging (computed tomography and nuclear magnetic resonance).
